Helping Haiti – Tamalpais Bank accepts donations for Red Cross Haiti Relief
Tamalpais Bank has established a fund which will allow individuals to donate money to victims of the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti.
All funds collected, at the seven Tamalpais Bank branches in Marin County, will be contributed directly the American Red Cross redcrossbayarea.org/.
"With so many organizations involved in helping out," said Mark Chapman, senior vice president, Chief Marketing Officer, "we want to ensure that Marin residents who are interested in contributing will have a secure and simple way to direct funds to Haiti through a reputable organization with deep experience in aiding victims of natural disasters."
Tax deductible contributions to this interest-bearing account should be made out to:
American Red Cross/Haitian Victims Fund
Tamalpais Bank will provide receipts (hand written, photocopies of checks) for the convenience of those who may want to receive a receipt for their donation.
