Benefits and Compensation:
We are pleased to share with you some information about the various benefits available to regular, full-time employees, most of which start on the first day of the month following your hire date. Many of our benefits are also available on a pro-rated basis for our part-time employees.

Medical Benefits: Employees may choose between a Kaiser HMO plan and a unique Blue Shield PPO plan, with access to thousands of medical providers in California and throughout the United States.
Dental Benefits: Employees can participate in one of the best dental plans in the nation, and typically receive 50-100% coverage of most dental services, including orthodontic care for children, subject to a $2,000 per member annual maximum.
Vision Care: Our vision care program, VSP, provides coverage for an annual eye exam, annual lenses, and new frames every 24 months.
Flexible Spending Accounts: Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) provide the opportunity to pay for eligible health or dependent care expenses with pretax dollars. Tamalpais Bank is proud to be one of the few Marin employers to offer a company-funded dependent care FSA which reimburses our employees up to $5,000 per year for eligible dependent care expenses.
Short-term and Long-term Disability Insurance: 100% funded by the Bank, these insurance programs provide 60% of an employee’s regular salary in the event of a disability, subject to eligibility and a waiting period.
Life Insurance: The Bank provides free basic life insurance and AD&D coverage in the amount of twice an employee’s annual salary.
401(k) Plan: Eligible employees may elect to make pre-tax contributions to Tamalpais Bank’s 401(k) Plan. The Bank will match the first 5% of an employee’s annual gross salary, with immediate vesting.
Bonus, Incentive and Commission Programs: Employees may participate in bonus, incentive or commission programs, subject to eligibility and depending upon the position.
Holidays: The Bank offers 10 paid holidays for our regular, full-time employees based on the Federal Reserve Bank's schedule, plus an extra floating holiday to be used on or around an employee’s birthday.
Vacation/Sick Leave: Employees accrue vacation time each year based on length of service and position. All regular, full-time employees accrue 6 days of sick leave per year, or a pro-rated amount based on hours worked.
Education Reimbursement: Tamalpais Bank will reimburse employees up to $2,000 each year for approved, job-related courses at accredited school.
Work/Life Balance: Recognizing that juggling the demands of work and life can often be challenging, Tamalpais Bank offers an Employee Assistance Program that provides confidential counseling, legal advice, and resources/referrals for issues involving relocation, care-giving and parenting.
Wellness: The Bank offers a variety of wellness tools and resources through its partnerships with Kaiser Permanente, Blue Shield of California and MetLife. These include discounts on services such as massage therapy and chiropractic care. Additionally, the Bank offers employees a reduced membership rate with a local area fitness club.

3. Next Steps
Resumes are reviewed daily. If we believe that your credentials are a potential match for one of our open positions, we will contact you by email or telephone to discuss the position and your qualifications.Based on our telephone or email conversation, we may invite you to interview in person. Interviews often take place over a period of several weeks, and depending on the position, may involve meeting potential peers, senior managers, and an HR representative, in addition to the hiring manager. We will follow up with you via telephone or in writing to advise you of the outcome.
4. Final Screening Process
We conduct routine background and reference checks on all final candidates. You will be asked to complete a release authorizing our third-party background check vendor to initiate the screening. All California applicants receive a complimentary copy of the background check results.
The hiring process may take anywhere from 2-8 weeks to complete.
